About me

My name is Scott Fishkind. I am 50 years old, happily married to my beautiful wife since 1990, and the father of two wonderful children who mean the world to me. I've been personally involved in fitness since the late 1980’s when I transformed myself from being very overweight and out-of-shape to healthy and fit. This transformed not only my appearance, self confidence and overall energy level, but helped me overcome nagging back problems. It was the start of my love affair with fitness and my realization of how life changing and empowering it could be!

Becoming an ACE Certified Personal Trainer

I became an ACE certified personal trainer in order to help my clients enjoy the same long-term benefits that fitness has given me. My approach to training has also been shaped by over 28 years of private teaching experience. In that time I've learned how to inspire others by helping them find the joy in what they are doing.

As a trainer, I can help bridge the gap for people who want to make changes but don't know how to go about it successfully on their own. During the many years I’ve been involved in fitness, I have too often witnessed the unfortunate scenario of the "Gung ho, go for it all!" approach many well-meaning folks take regarding exercise and diet. These extreme measures quickly lead to burn-out, overtraining and feelings of nutritional deprivation. Inevitably and sadly, most of these folks drop out of their programs, often giving up on the idea of fitness altogether.

I am here to assure you that you do not have to kill yourself in the gym or starve yourself to make a successful physical transformation, in fact quite the opposite is true. It is the combination of plenty of good nutrition with the appropriate level of training intensity that yields the best results, both short and long term.

As your personal trainer, I will custom design a fitness program based on your individual  goals. In addition, I will also help guide you in the area of eating for maximum energy, recovery and fat loss.
